International Women’s Day 2019. Find out what we really think on this lovely little rant-blog, or stay here to celebrate some of the most kickass International Women’s Day marketing campaigns we’ve seen over the past few years. We invite you to comment with your faves – maybe we’ve missed some great ones, let us know!
So let’s jump right in…
Nike – Dream Crazier
Why we love it: Well who wouldn’t. This ad challenges so many female stereotypes and extends beyond the realm of sports.
This is the latest in a series of ads by Nike featuring the Dream Crazier theme, and came out just a few weeks before International Women’s Day. Thanks Nike!
Women’s Aid – Look At Me
Why we love it: Crikey, what a powerful campaign! Tackling the topic of domestic abuse against women, in 2016 Women’s Aid launched this campaign for International Women’s Day. The more that people stopped and looked at the screen, the faster the damage faded.
We love campaigns that get people involved, and there’s no way that experiencing this won’t have a lasting impact on you. Go Women’s Aid!
Dove – Real Beauty
Why we love it: This was really something when it first came out. And we love that this kind of body positivity is quickly becoming the norm.
Google – A Moment In Search
Why we love it: Google dug around in their data and discovered that women’s rights and equality were trending around the world. And just acknowledging this fact is so powerful.
We’ll be checking out today’s campaigns and retweeting our favourites, so follow us on Twitter to get involved.
